The report generated by Kalpana Path Lab situated inside MB Hospital is one that would have given any patient a heart attack. The report showed levels of Triglycerides and VLDL cholesterol that far exceeded the maximum level that anyone can have.

The incident happened with Bhupalpura resident Rekha w/o Ravindra Dahima. As part of her routine check-up, Rekha went to Kalpana Path Lab for cholestrol check-up. She was shocked to the core when the report came from Kalpana Path Lab.

The report showed her Triglycerides level at 531. It may be noted that the maximum range specified for Triglycerides is 500. If Triglycerides exceed 500, the patient gets a heart attack. Similarly her cholestrol levels were reported at 106. This again was much higher than the maximum limit of 35.

Shocked by the report, Rekha and her family went to Dr Shobhalal Audichya. Doctor adviced her to get the check-up done again at a private laboratory. The private laborary showed her Triglycerides level at 102 and her VLDL cholestrol level at 14.9. After seeing this report Rekha and her family breathed a sigh of relief.

This particular case raises a lot of questions about the path lab results. The entire medical history of the patient gets formed on the basis of these results and if the results are not accurate, it may put the patient’s overall health at a major risk.
