Massive Preparations Underway Ahead Of Swearing-In Ceremony
Suvendu Adhikari is set to take oath as the next Chief Minister of West Bengal, formally ending the TMC’s 15-year rule in the state and ushering in the BJP’s first-ever government in Bengal since Independence. The saffron party secured a commanding mandate by winning 207 seats in the 2026 Assembly elections, marking one of the most significant political shifts in the state’s history.
Security arrangements across Kolkata have been significantly tightened ahead of the high-profile ceremony.
