Kumbhalgarh Invites for The Heritage Walk
The Kumbhalgarh Fort in Rajsamand district is well set for the Heritage Walk scheduled to be organized on 10th of this month. This initiative has been taken to promote tourism in Udaipur region and to stress the importance of the Great Wall of Kumbhalgarh which is the second largest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China.

The official website www.kumbhalgarhfortwalk.com has been launched by Dr. Nitin Deep Blagan, Superintended of Police, Rajsamand on Saturday that provides all the information related to the walk and also provides many precious facts about the history of Kumbhalgarh. It is a national event and the participants can register themselves latest by 9th March till 5 pm on the website.
The walk would be conducted for two groups. Group 1 is competitive one in which the winner will be rewarded with prize money of Rs. 51000. The second and third position holders will be awarded Rs. 31000 and Rs. respectively. Five participants will get consolation prizes of Rs. 11000 each.
Group 2 is the guided one that will cover a distance of only 2-3 kilometers and the participants of this group can stop according to their will.
Different dress codes will be given to both the groups and the T-shirts for the same are sponsored by Miraj Group.
The dos and don’ts for the participants have been clearly indicated. The participants are not allowed to run during the course of the walk. Any violation of the rules will lead to disqualification. In case a participant is found causing any harm to the national assets serious action will be taken against him.
About 50 centers have been set up along the course of the walk to help the participants. A team of 4 people would be active on each center; a policeman, a doctor and two local volunteers. In a meeting held at Hotel Royal Kumbhalgarh, the issues like food facilities and night stay for the participants were discussed and the duties were assigned to different staff of the hotel.
Some of the national figures are also expected to mark their presence and boost the morale of the participants on the day.
