Lab Assistants to protest for permanent job
Subsequent to an unsuccessful meeting with the State's Education Director on the issue of Permanent Posts, 72 Laboratory Assistants of Udaipur employed with the Department of Education, Rajasthan, have decided to demonstrate in front of the departments headquarters located in Bikaner.
Subsequent to an unsuccessful meeting with the State’s Education Director on the issue of Permanent Posts, 72 Laboratory Assistants of Udaipur employed with the Department of Education, Rajasthan, have decided to demonstrate in front of the departments headquarters located in Bikaner.
Rajasthan Education Department Employee Council led by the District President Kalyan Singh Sisodia and the representatives of the council talked about the matter with Harsahay Meena, Director, Secondary Education at the Circuit House today, May 6, 2012.
The envoy explained their problems to Meena and requested to eradicate the obstacles they are facing due to the temporary status of their job. According to the Lab Assistants, the Chief Minister and the State Government had announced that those temporary employees who had served for 10 or more years as in 2006 should be given a Permanent Employee status. This rule has not been applied as yet, as per the Laboratory Assistants.
As per the information, when the talk with the Director of Secondary Education failed, the employees decided to launch a mass protest at the Head Office in Bikaner.
According to Rakesh Paliwal, State Leader of the employee council, the workers at Bikaner office also supported the protest.
