A lady delivered a baby right outside Janana Hospital (Maternity hospital), MB Hospital Udaipur. The lady was brought to the hospital by her family members in an auto to the hospital but she delivered right outside the Maternity hospital in the MB hospital compound after experiencing severe labour pain.

The incident happened on Monday. The lady, Tara, was brought by her family members from Debari in an auto-rickshaw. Her aunt Gauribai informed that Tara started experiencing severe labour pain right outside the Maternity hospital. Looking at her condition, the nursing staff got into action and helped her deliver the baby right outside the hospital. A group of women covered the area up with bed sheet and stood around the lady.

Both mother and daughter are doing fine. They were shifted to ward after the delivery process.

Dr. Sunita Maheshwari, Superintendent of Janana Hospital, said that there was a delay in getting the lady to the hospital and hence the delivery happened on road. Else, the administration starts taking care of the lady in labour right after her registration in hospital.
