Immediately after his trip from Jodhpur, the Chief Secretary of the State Government, C K Matthews is now on a visit to Udaipur. His is a review trip, directed to cover all areas of the state to keep a check on issues of Law & Order, Government Projects and Issues faced by the residents in general.

He would be conducting meetings that would include higher officials from the cities administrative bodies, along with Collector and SP, tomorrow morning, 9th June. “We collect reports, review and jot down the necessities and demands placed by authorities of each of the city/district that we visit”, said C K Matthews.
When he was asked about the prime problem of the common man – Electricity and Water, he replied, “The Rajasthan Government has passed an extra amount of Rs. 200 crore directed to solve the electricity problem in Rajasthan. The problem arose due to a drop-rate in the production of electricity.”
“The Lake Development committee would also be formed soon; the Divisional Commissioner is working on the same and I would be reviewing the progress on this tomorrow”, he added.
On the note of “Affordable Housing Plan”, he was told by one of the other administrative officials that the project was in the pipeline as the target was to facilitate 15000 houses in 4 years but yet only 1200-1300 are completed. The UIT and the Housing Board had to build the houses along with the help of Private Firms but because of some issues the plan didn’t take off.
C K Matthews assured that ‘Affordable Housing’ is in his agenda and he would be talking about this tomorrow with the officials.
Hemant Kumar Ghera, informed that a bus facility has been provided in the remote rural areas which runs once a week to provide health care services to the poor, who don’t even know about various schemes o thef government, which are intended to help them grow.
The officials present at the Circuit House to receive the Chief Secretary included T. C Damor, Ajitabh Sharma, Dr. Subodh Agrawal, Abrar Ahmed, B. R Bhati and Mohd. Yaseen Pathan.
