In a case of sheer negligence and indifference, a lady delivered a baby on the floor of Pannadhay Janana Hospital, MB Hospital. As per her relatives, the delivery happened on flooring since there was no stretcher, no doctor or nursing staff that came forward for help.

The incident happened on Thursday morning when Leela w/o Hansraj Gameti delivered a baby at 6:25am. On hearing the new born’s cries, the panic stricken nursing staff rushed to the spot and admitted the lady in ward no 4.

Dr Sunita Maheshwari, Superintendent, Janana hospital, however said that Leela was brought late into the hospital and hence she delivered a baby before she could be taken to the labour room.
