Lion Safari and Reptile House to Open in New Year

The inauguration ceremony will take place after the end of the Malamas

Udaipur, December 25,2024 - The state’s second Lion Safari and first Reptile House, located in Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, will be inaugurated for tourists in the upcoming New Year. The inauguration ceremony will take place after the end of the Malamas (inauspicious period).

Governor’s Visit
Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria visited Udaipur on Tuesday, December 24,2024. During his visit, he reviewed the Lion Safari, Reptile House, and other development works at Ubeshwar Ji. Kataria visited the Lion Safari Watch Tower, where he observed the ongoing development works and enjoyed the scenic view of the city. He also saw spotted deer (Chital) roaming in the safari's forest area. He instructed officials to complete the work soon and open the Lion Safari for the public.

Reptile House Inspection
At the Biological Park, Kataria inspected the Reptile House. He reviewed the enclosures made of toughened glass, designed to display snake species and turtles. The current entry fee for the Biological Park is Rs 43 per visitor, which will include access to the Reptile House.
