4:20 pm: A wave of fresh airstrikes have hit Tehran on Saturday afternoon, say reports. Multiple explosions were reported in Tehran following the Israeli military’s announcement that it had launched a new attack.
IRGC claim to have targetted US air combat centre and satellite communications hub at UAE’s Al Dhafra air base, according to reports.
3:50 pm: Huge explosions were heard in several parts of Iran, reports Reuters.
Bahrain’s international airport says it will remain temporarily suspended owing to airspace closure.
Iraqi authorities announced the extension of its airspace closure until 12:00 noon (9:00 GMT) on Tuesday as a “temporary precautionary measure”.
3:20 pm: Dubai airport has partially resumed operations after earlier suspending flights. The suspension came after an aerial interception in the area during attacks from Iran forced operations to halt temporarily.
Qatar Airways has also announced plans to operate flights from London, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Frankfurt and Bangkok to Hamad International Airport in Doha tomorrow.
2:10 pm: Dubai has suspended all operations at the city’s airport following a recent attack. Emirates Airlines has also announced that all flights to and from Dubai will remain suspended until further notice, according to AFP.
In a speech broadcast on State TV, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed that the country will not surrender and also issued an apology to neighbouring countries affected by Iran’s military actions. He added that there is an approval in Iran’s interim leadership to stop the attacks on them unless there is more usage of the military bases there by the US to attack Iranian territory.
1:30 pm: An alert on mobile phones, saying security threat level has been “elevated”, telling residents to “remain indoors” was sent out by Qatar’s Interior Ministry. Minutes later, a follow-up message saying “the security threat has been eliminated and the situation has returned to normal” was sent.
The IRGC has said that they had targeted an oil tanker in the Gulf. “This morning, an oil tanker with the trade name Prima was hit by an exploding drone after ignoring repeated warnings from the IRGC naval forces regarding the prohibition of traffic and the insecurity of the Strait of Hormuz,” an IRGC statement read.
12:00 pm: The IRGC on Saturday (March 7) said the latest phase of its operation involved large-scale, combined strikes using new-generation missiles and drones against US positions in the Gulf. One of the main targets was the Al Dhafra airbase in the UAE. The IRGC claims to have destroyed an advanced early-warning radar system, hangars used for maintaining MQ‑9 drones and facilities linked to US reconnaissance aircraft.
The IRGC also said it had carried out heavy missile strikes on the Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait, claiming to have damaged the base’s radar systems, fuel storage facilities and two runways used by US aircraft.
11:30 am: Qatar opens its airspace partially with an A380 jet departing Doha for London, the first aircraft to do so since February 28.
Two more ballistic missiles launched towards the Prince Sultan Air Base were intercepted and destroyed by Saudi Arabia.
UAE’s Defence Ministry has said its air defences are currently responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran and that the sounds heard in various parts of the Emirate are the result of intercepting ballistic missiles and drones.
An explosion was heard over Dubai airport, according to reports. The Dubai Media Office described the latest incident as “a minor incident resulting from the fall of debris after an interception.”
10:00 am: On day eight of the US-Israel war on Iran, retaliatory strikes by both sides continued to rage. Saturday (March 7) morning, Iran came under deadly bombing after the US warned of an intense bombing campaign.

3:20 pm: UAE officials have privately warned Iran of the possible action it could take on the country, according to a Wall Street Journal report. The WSJ report said this measure could include freezing billions of dollars of Iranian assets held in the Gulf State.
An all clear was signalled after about an hour to the alert of missile threats in Dubai.
2:00 pm: Residents of Dubai have just received an Emirati Interior Ministry alert on their phones, urging them to shelter from potential missile threats.
“Due to the current situation, potential missile threats, seek immediate shelter in the closest secure building and steer away from windows, doors and open areas,” the alert read.
1:00 pm: Israeli Army has claimed to have hit six Iranian missile launchers and “three advanced Iranian defence systems” in recent strikes.
Iran has said it has destroyed two drones over Iranian territory; one MQ-9 drone was reportedly shot down in the skies above Lorestan Province, while another Hermes drone was intercepted near the city of Tehran.
Air defences shot down several drones in the Jordanian city of Irbid, according to reports.
Hezbollah claims to have targetted a gathering of Israeli Army vehicles advancing towards the southern Lebanese town of Khiyam.
11:30 am: Etihad Airways has announced operations of "a limited commercial flight schedule” between Abu Dhabi and key destinations on Friday (March 6).

2:30 pm: Azerbaijan has strongly condemned the firing of several drones from Iran which have hit its territory; one struck a terminal building in Nakhchivan International Airport and another landed near a school building in Shakarabad village; two civillians have been injured.

This is the same area where a US submarine destroyed the Iranian vessel IRIS Dena on Wednesday (March 4).
1:10 pm: IRGC claims to have hit a US tanker in the northern Gulf Thursday morning; says military and commercial vessels belonging to the US, Israel and European countries that support them “will not be allowed to pass through”.

12:20 pm: Massive explosions rock Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, near Bandar-e Bahonar, within the First Naval Zone of the IRGC.
Iran said it had targeted headquarters of Kurdish forces in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Sirens warning of a suspected drone intrusion were reported in southern Israel near the border with Jordan.
11:00 am: Qatar Airways has said that starting Thursday (March 5), it will run some relief flights for stranded passengers from Muscat and Riyadh. Its flights from Doha will, however, remain suspended.
10:00 am: A US submarine on Wednesday (March 4) fired a torpedo at an Iranian warship off Sri Lanka sinking it. Sri Lanka forces that carried out the rescue operation said that at least 87 Iranian soldiers were killed and search was underway for those missing. Around 32 onboard the IRIS Dena were rescued and are recovering at a hospital in Galle.
The Iranian warship was returning from India after participating in the 2026 International Fleet Review in Visakhapatnam.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has called it a “quiet death” and said that since World War 2 this incident was the first US sinking of a hostile ship by torpedo.
Retaliatory strikes in the US-Israel and Iran conflict continued on the sixth day. Iran launched another ballistic missile attack on Israel overnight. Israeli authorities said no injuries were reported.

March 4, 2026 - Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, has reportedly been chosen as the next Supreme Leader of the country. This news was shared by the Israeli media though there is no official confirmation of it from Iran. According to reports, Iran’s Assembly of Experts will be making this announcement shortly.
Meanwhile, Israel has claimed it has launched a “broad wave of attacks” across Iran. The Israeli military has claimed hitting missile launch pads and air defence systems.
The US military says it has destroyed 17 Iranian naval vessels, including a submarine, as part of its ongoing campaign against Iran. The Commander of US Central Command has said that tens of thousands of American service members are involved in “uncontested surgical” missions carried out by B-2 and B-1 bombers.
4:20 pm: Qatar says it has intercepted 10 drones and two cruise missiles from Iran.
Israeli Defence Minister has warned that every leader appointed by Iran will become an unequivocal target for elimination.
3:20 pm: Hezbollah claims to have struck an Israeli miliary base near Israel’s northern city of Safed.
Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery, the biggest domestic oil refinery operated by Saudi Aramco, has been hit, say sources according to Reuters.
Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, a senior Iranian cleric who is a member of both the powerful Guardian Council and Assembly of Experts, says the country will very soon announce the successor of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
US President Donald Trump has said the country is ready to deploy its Navy to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had declared the strait as closed, saying it had complete control over the route.
2:40 pm: Five people across Iran’s central Isfahan province have reported been killed in the Israeli attacks this morning.
An Israeli Air Force F-35I fighter jet shot down a Russian-made Iranian Yak-130 over Tehran, according to reports given by the IDF.
Kuwait’s Army has said that it is being faced with a barrage of missiles and drones in its airspace.
1:50 pm: Qatar Airways’ update on March 4 says its flight operations “remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace”.
France Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has said that French Rafale fighter jets have neutralised Iranian drones targeting the UAE, where hundreds of French navy, air force and army personnel are based.
12: 40 pm: The IRGC claims to have fired 230 drones at several facilities hosting US troops in the Middle East calling them among its “first powerful steps” in the war. A base in Iraq’s Erbil and the Ali Al Salem Air Base and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait are said to have been attacked.
11:20 am: AFP reports that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned that any vessel attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz could face damage from missiles or drones saying they have complete control over the route. The Strait of Hormuz crucial for global oil and gas shipments.

March 3, 2026 - Israel and the United States continue their assault on Iran and Lebanon on Tuesday (March 3). The death toll in Iran and Lebanon has gone past 600, as per reports. At least 10 people have been killed in Israel since Saturday.

1:55 pm: The death toll in the ongoing West Asia conflict continues to rise. Iran has reported at least 555 deaths while Lebanon has claimed 52 people have been killed in the Israeli strikes in the southern part of the country.
In the UAE, three people - one Pakistani, one Nepalese and one Bangladeshi - died while one person has also been killed in Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain each.
In Israel, casualties due to Iranian strikes across the region stands at 10. In Iraq, two people have died while four American service members were killed.
12: 17 am: The US Embassy in Riyadh has announced the cancellation of all its services across several missions in Saudi Arabia following the attack on its Embassy in Riyadh; US has asked its non-essential government employees and all citizens to immediately leave these countries - Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the occupied West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
11:35 am: Israeli military spokesperson says Israeli Air Force has attacked sites affiliated with Iran’s ballistic missile launch platforms; Iran newspaper reports that an area in Tehran near the old Parliament building has been hit by air strikes; US Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed destroying facilities belong to IRGC including command and control centres.
March 2, 9:10pm: The Indian government is in touch with Indian missions in the Gulf countries to ensure safe return of stranded Indians. State governments have been instructed to step up efforts to assist such residents.

8:45pm: The commander of the IRGC has announced that Iran will launch missiles at Cyprus after it was discovered tht the US has moved its aircraft to Cyprus. "We will launch several missiles at at Cyprus to force the US to leave from there as well", the commander Brig Gen. Ibrahim Jabari was quoted saying as per Tasnim news agency report.
8:30pm: Iranian News agency Tasnim has reported that 5 civillians including a minor have been killed in the Sarabeleh village in western Iran.
8:15pm: The UAE national carrier Emirates has announced that it will begin operating limited flights this evening. Customers with earlier bookings will be given priority, it said in a statement. Passengers have been urged not to venture near the airport unless notified.
6:35 pm: The Israeli military said it has killed Hezbollah intelligence chief Hussein Makled overnight; Revolutionary Guards general Majid Ebnelreza has been appointed as acting defence minister after his predecessor was killed in Israeli-US airstrikes.

Kuwait’s Defence Ministry has reported crash of “several” US warplanes in the country on Monday morning. All the pilots are believed to have bailed out safely. The reason for the crash is not yet clear.
