LPG eKYC Deadline August 16: Complete Gas Cylinder KYC From Home, Check Step-by-Step Process
UdaipurTimes, e-KYC Deadlines | August 12, 2026: In India, gas cylinders are currently essential for cooking in almost every household across the country, as most kitchens have been upgraded from materials like wood, coal, and dry leaves. However, here's an urgent update for those using gas cylinders. The government and petroleum companies have asked LPG cylinder users to update their e-KYC.
To update the proper KYC details, the government has announced the last date is August 16. If e-KYC is not completed within the specified deadline, the subsidy on gas prices will not be available, and you may not even receive your cylinder. Through this article, we will share complete details on how you can update your KYC details from home.
Who Should Do eKYC Quickly?
All gas cylinder users will have to do eKYC. However, some customers should not make any mistakes. For example, those who have not updated their connection KYC for a long time and those who have recently changed their mobile number, home address, or any other information should do eKYC immediately.
How to do eKYC Online From Home?
1. Go to the official website of the gas company (such as Indane, Bharat Gas, or HP Gas) or their official mobile app.
2. Log in to your account and click on the 'eKYC' or 'KYC Update' section.
3. There, enter your LPG customer number, registered mobile number, and Aadhaar number.
4. Next, there is the OTP verification option. By clicking on this option, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Once that OTP is entered, the eKYC will be completed. The entire process should not take more than 5 minutes to complete.
You can also update your eKYC by visiting the gas agency office.
To avoid technical problems, visit the nearest gas agency office. Be sure to carry your Aadhaar card and gas connection passbook. The employee of the gas agency office there will verify the details through your Aadhaar number. After that, the e-KYC will be completed through a fingerprint (biometric) scan, and your information will be updated.
