The city continued to experience drizzles on Sunday, July 28,2024. In the afternoon, areas like Surajpole and the walled city saw light rain, followed by suburban areas later. By 5:00 PM, 3 mm of rain was recorded in Alsigarh.

Pichola and Fatehsagar lakes are still waiting for inflow. However, the Alsigarh dam, which was empty with a 34-feet capacity until last Sunday, received 5 feet of new water in one week. Its water level is now at 5 feet. The meteorological department has indicated the possibility of good rainfall this week.

For the second day, there was a 2-inch flow in the Nandeswar channel. Meanwhile, the water level of the Madri dam, which has a capacity of 34 feet, is now at 1.4 feet. It has increased by 2 inches in the past 24 hours.

Continuous scattered rains over the past three days have provided relief from the heat and humidity. In the last 24 hours, the daytime temperature has dropped by 2.7 degrees and the nighttime temperature by 0.5 degrees.

According to the meteorological department, the city's maximum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees and the minimum at 22.5 degrees. A day earlier, these were 29.9 and 23.0 degrees, respectively.
