A man has accused his wife of marrying someone else without taking a divorce from him. He has also accused his father-in-law for bashing him up.

Resident of Bhuwana, Rajesh Sharma reported in Sukher police station that he got married in 2008 and lived with his wife in Mumbai for almost 3 years. Since they were not happy with each other in Mumbai, they planned to shift to Udaipur and even after living together for 3 years they couldn’t live in harmony. His wife left him in 2016 and started living separately. After some time, Rajesh came to know that his wife had married someone else without taking a divorce from him. He then went to his in-law’s house to speak to his wife’s parents but his father-in-law physically bashed him up and even snatched his gold chain.

 Since this is an issue of re-marriage without taking divorce and it does not fall under the jurisdiction of police, a case of physical bash up has been registered against the father-in-law. Statements of both parties will be taken. The issue of divorce must be registered with the court by the affected party.
