A man has been arrested for blackmailing and molestation of a woman who was an old acquaintance. A complaint was lodged in Pratapnagar police station by the victim.

As per complaint, this woman was well acquainted with Ramesh Purbia since 2011 but got married to someone else 4 years back. After marriage, she had stopped meeting Ramesh so he started blackmailing her. To maintain peace, the woman kept on meeting him. Few days back, Ramesh started hitting her and her family members came to know about her meetings with Ramesh. Her husband demanded divorce because of this. She went to the police station and lodged a complaint against Ramesh mentioning blackmail and molestation after which he was arrested by Pratapnagar police.
