A man committed suicide in Pratapnagar area. Reportedly, he was being mentally harassed by some people.

Sultan Singh Bhati (34) was found hanging in his room on Sunday evening. Family members have accused the husband of area’s ward councillor and their relatives for mentally harassing Sultan Singh to the extent of suicide. As per police, wife of this man was away to temple on Sunday evening with 2 kids. When she returned home, she found him hanging in the room. The family members brought down the body and rushed to MB Hopsital. Police was informed on Monday morning about the incident after which post-mortem was conducted.

Family members and members of Karni Sena registered case against the ward councillor’s husband and relatives. In the complaint it has been mentioned that Sultan worked at the shop of the ward councillor’s husband for 7 years. Four months back, he left the shop and started his own refreshment centre. Ward councillor’s husband Pannalal was forcing him to close down the refreshment centre and harassing him on this issue.

Sultan had become too depressed as a result of this mental harassment and had even told his family that he would commit suicide some day. As per police officials, they are investigating the case as various points are being brought up regarding this suicide. They have, however, registered cases against the 3 accused in this case.
