An old man was duped by his neighbour in a case of property. As reported by Nathulal Chittora to Hathipole police, he was duped by his neighbour and his accomplice on the basis of fake property documents and in the process they took 44 lakh rupees from him. The victim reported that he used to live in his parental house in 2013 in Hathipole. The neighbour who is the owner of Kanhaiya Mishthan Bhandar informed him that one of his acquaintances Vijay wanted to sell his plots.

Agreement papers were made in the name of the victim’s son and wife and it was decided that the registry of the plots would be given a little later. The culprits took 44 lakh rupees from the victim and when the victim asked for having the plots registered, they kept on giving alibis. Around 2 months back, when the victim demanded that his money be returned, the culprits started threatening him. When the victim Nathulal tried to find the details of the plots as per the fake agreement, he discovered that he was duped and that the plots did not even exist. Police has arrested the accused and is investigating the case.
