IIM Udaipur held the registration and commencement session for the 3^rd batch of its flagship PGP program today. Chief Guest of the program was Saugata Gupta, CEO, Marico.

Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur started off the orientation session by congratulating the students on their efforts and welcoming them to a two-year transformational journey at IIM Udaipur. Prof Shah stressed the focus of the campus was on imbibing innovation and entrepreneurship/ intrapreneurship as the key set of values in its students.

Chief Guest on the occasion, Saugata Gupta, as part of the commencement address talked about his key learning throughout his working career and offered guidelines to the students to work on. Some of the key learning elements highlighted are as follows:

• It is imperative for one to find his/her own passion and to pursue it in his/her career
• Have diverse interests but excel in what you do
• Set personal goals
• Need to focus and prioritize
• Personal discipline is an imperative
• One should not chase outcomes but work on the fundamentals

The session by Saugata was followed by a question and answer session wherein students put forward their questions that were adeptly addressed by the FMCG stalwart.

As part of the orientation, Prof Sunil Handa, IIM Ahmedabad faculty member and Founder of Eklavya Education Foundation, will conduct workshop on entrepreneurship tomorrow and day-after.
