Market-Ready training provided to Tribal Craftsmen
The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts provided training of various products to the tribal craftsmen living in Khemli’s Aasana village and will help develop a market for which the 5-months long program commenced on 28th September.
The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts provided training of various products to the tribal craftsmen living in Khemli’s Aasana village and will help develop a market for which the 5-months long program commenced on 28th September.
EPCH’s working director Rakesh Kumar informed that the program will provide training to tribal craftsmen, handicraft workers, skills workers and entrepreneurs during the 5 months in Aasana. They will be trained in terracotta art by specialist Lakshmilal Kumhar and NIDF designer Suhail Qureshi. The program will also include primary survey, design training, prototype development and market testing etc.
Rakesh further added that these craftsmen will be acquainted with popular designs in the international market that will help sharpen their skills.
