Teachers association of RNT Medical college and the Resident doctors at MB Hospital may start an indefinite strike from today in the case of suspension of Dr Mahesh Dave by State Health Minister Kali Charan Saraf. Dr Dave was terminated in the case of negligence resulting in death of a swine flu patient.

Members of both the association said that if the Government did not change its decision by Monday morning then they would go on an indefinite strike.

As per the Teachers association, the decision of Dr Dave’s suspension was taken without investigation and in an abrupt manner. They said that there should have been a thorough investigation into the matter and only if proven guilty, should action be taken against the doctor.
