Medium to light showers rinsed Udaipur city this mid-afternoon. Though not a lot, a sufficient amount of rainfall has been recorded in many parts of Udaipur city and nearby areas which subsequently provided much needed relief to Udaipurites from the hot-humid atmosphere which has lasted for more than a week. Dark clouds began to appear over the city at 2:00 pm along with heavy thunder and lightning. The maximum recorded temperature today in the city was 34 degrees as no substantial amount of rainfall occurred in Udaipur since the arrival of monsoon in the Rajasthan state. According to the weather forecast, some more rain showers are expected till the weekend.
