Kisan Mukti rally that started in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh with support from 160 organisations on 6-July as part of Kisan Andolan (Farmer Agitation) reached Udaipur today. A general meeting was organised at Mohta park after the rally reached Udaipur today.

Various leaders of farmer unions were present on the occasion. All the members talked about raising their voices for farmer support and also called for measures to prevent farmer suicides. The campaign organiser, Yogendra Yadav said that 160 organisations have stepped together to present the case of farmers to Government and to stop farmer suicides.

Yadav said that Government will have to come up with strong measures for farmer support and implement the suggestions made in Swaminathan Committee’s report.
