It is getting extremely cold. Afternoons are no relief. The sun is shining but not at its best as the cold waves are too much to bear. 

Mercury has dropped everywhere around the country. Rajasthan is feeling the shivers as Mount Abu is experiencing freezing cold. Frozen dew could be seen on the vegetation in Mount Abu with the temperature at 1.2 degrees. 

Around 18 cities in Rajasthan had the night temperature below 10 degrees and cold waves made it even worse.The minimum temperature recorded in Udaipur is at 7 degrees celsius today evening. There have been reports of people dying in the rural areas because of unbearable cold.

The temperature chart of Monday was :
Mount Abu topped the list with 1.2 degrees. Second on the list was Rajsamand with 4 degrees followed by Chittorgarh at 7.2, Ajmer and Fatehpur at 7.4, Udaipur at 7.8, Falaudi and Bhilwara at 8, Jaisalmer 8.2, Vanasthali 8.3, Sriganganagar 8.5, Pilani 8.6, Sikar, Kota and Sawai Madhopur at 9, Bikaner at 9.1, Jodhpur 9.2, Jaipur 9.6 and Barmer 9.9 degrees.
