Mewar Art exhibiting at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai

The exhibition is organized for seven days

Beginning on Tuesday 28 March, 2023, the historic Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai is hosting the seven-days art exhibition of the West Zone Culture Center, Udaipur. The event was inaugurated by Vishwanath Sable, vice president of J J School of Art, Mumbai. The show was viewed by almost 2000 individuals.

 Kiran Soni Gupta, the Director of the J J School, said that the painting made in the Shaurya Art Camp has been displayed in the exhibition under the Amrit Mohtsav of Independence section of  the gallery. In this section paintings of Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi, Rajguru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, Birsa Munda, Lal Bahadur Shastri and other Independence fighters have been made in Oil and Acrylic mediums. Mural art made during the Corona period has also been displayed. 

First Gallery

Paintings of Lord Ganesha, Shri Krishna and various South India’s God and Goddess portraits have been displayed in the first gallery.

Second Gallery

In the second gallery, Fad Art, Tribal art of Mewar and watercolor paintings have been displayed.
