One of the two trains for Delhi, Mewar Express, was cancelled as a result of breakage of tracks near Kota.  This is a result of the recent activities in relation to the Gurjar Community protest over Reservations.

Initially, the route of the train was changed, but due to immense traffic on the changed route, the train was cancelled for the day.Nearly 1500 passengers commute via Mewar Express daily, and now the passengers are trying to travel by road.  However the passenger bus services are also overloaded, one with the holiday season and secondly due to the diversion of passengers from the cancelled train.  State Road Transport authorities have however assured that extra buses are being arranged for the day.
