Udaipur, December 31, 2024 - The third edition of the esteemed book and dialogue festival, Mewar Talk Fest, is set to take place on January 11-12, 2025, at Bhikshu Nilayam in Rajsamand city. This year's event promises a captivating literary experience, featuring a special ‘Raj Pustak Mandapam’ to display thousands of books from publishers across the country, alongside engaging author discussions and book releases.
National Book Trust (NBT) Participation
In collaboration with a variety of esteemed publishers, the National Book Trust (NBT), an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, will also participate in the Mewar Talk Fest. Established in 1957, NBT has published approximately 37,000 titles across 58 Indian languages, fostering a love for reading and the dissemination of knowledge. Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Director of NBT, stated that the Trust remains dedicated to promoting reading habits through its expansive collection. At the event, NBT India will set up a dedicated book stall at the ‘Raj Pustak Mandapam’, offering a diverse selection of publications to the attendees.
Participation of Renowned Publishers
Alongside NBT, several renowned publishers will showcase their literary works at Mewar Talk Fest. These include Indus Scrolls Press, Garuda Prakashan, Blue One Ink, Suruchi Prakashan, Shanti Publishers India, Vichar Vinimay Prakashan, Eye View Enterprises, Gyan Ganga Prakashan, Prabhat Prakashan, Archana Prakashan Bhopal, Lokhit Prakashan Lucknow, and Akaash Vani Prakashan Jalandhar. Raj Pustak Mandap’s coordinator Ruchi, along with local assistant Harshit, emphasized the diversity of offerings catering to a wide range of readers.
A Wide Array of Literary Offerings
The ‘Raj Pustak Mandapam’ will offer a wide spectrum of books, including children’s literature, competitive exam preparation, science and technology, literature, religious texts, biographies, stories, and books on various ideologies. These publications will be available in multiple languages such as Hindi, English, Gujarati, and Punjabi, ensuring inclusivity for readers from all walks of life.
Book Releases and Author Engagement
During the festival, several book launches will take place. Notable releases include Vartaman Mein Hanuman by young author Chandresh, Main Vivekananda Hoon by renowned writer Umesh Chaurasia, and Collection of Letters to Editors by Indu Mani. Each session will also feature the introduction of new books tackling contemporary issues.
The festival will provide a platform for Rajsamand’s literary enthusiasts to meet and interact with authors. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, literary discussions, and have their purchased books personally signed by the authors.

The first edition of Mewar Talk Fest focused on literature related to Subhash Chandra Bose, while the second edition saw the participation of acclaimed writers like Rashmi Sawant and Lakkhi Da, who discussed the Indian Constitution. This year, the festival continues its tradition of promoting knowledge and intellectual exchange.
