10:00 am: The US-Israel conflict with Iran has entered its tenth day today March 9 with no signs of any de-escalation as both sides continued retaliatory strikes. US President Donald Trump has expressed unhappiness at the selection of the new Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. He had previously said that he, as US President, should have a say in the process. Iran’s military and political leaders have united behind the newly appointed Supreme Leader.
Meanwhile, a statement from the Indian Embassy in Riyadh clarified that no Indian has been killed in an earlier strike on Saudi Arabia as it was widely reported in the media. Calling it a “matter of relief”, the Embassy said an Indian national was injured and is under treatment in Al Kharj.
Several explosions were heard in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, say reports.
Reports say the US military base in Iraq’s Kurdistan has been targeted in a drone attack. A Kurdish news outlet reported that air defences at the international airport in Erbil have intercepted a drone attack.
As per reports, at least three people were reported killed in an Israeli attack on Lebanon.
