CMHO Udaipur reported 3 deaths related to COVID, of which 2 patients belonged to Udaipur and one was from Sirohi.
As per Dr Suman, Supervisor, RNT Medical College, the patient from Sirohi was declared dead on arrival. He was referred to Udaipur following severe breathing problems. He succumbed before reaching the hospital in Udaipur, and was shifted to the mortuary. As per protocol his sample was tested for COVID19 and was found positive.
Dr Suman further informed that the other two patients who succumbed in the Corona ward belonged to Udaipur.
One patient, who was a 47 year old male, had arrived from Muscat and was declared positive a few days back. He was suffering from Cancer and hypertension. His death is attibuted to COVID19 and co-morbidity, as confirmed by Dr RL Suman and Dr Dinesh Kharade, CMHO, Udaipur.
The second patient, a 41 year old male from Iswal in Udaipur, was admitted following breathing problems and was found to be suffering from Pneumonia. He was given oxygen support and was later put on ventilator support. His COVID19 sample report on 18 June was found to be negative. However, he succumbed due to Pneumonia, as confirmed by Dr RL Suman.
In the meanwhile, 13 positive cases were reported from Udaipur today. Six of the 13 cases reported are migrants.
