The last few weeks in Udaipur have been filled with blame games between Political parties, the Police department expressing their angst over the situation and the resulting controversies. However, the Student Council Elections remain unaffected and are due for polling scheduled tomorrow, 24th August.

Today, being the last day for election campaigning, the participating groups adopted a number of techniques to caress the mindsets of the junior students, especially the First Year Students in Mohan Lal Sukhadia University.

Jitendra Singh Shaktawat (ABVP), Amit Paliwal (CSS) and Shrikant Shrivastav (NSUI) will compete for the coveted post of University President.

According to sources, the competition is expected to be tough. Though critics believe that Amit Paliwal of CSS is most likely to win, Shrikant Shrivastav of the NSUI is expected to pressurise the calculations for CSS. The ABVP on the other hand is high on morale, as the local governance is under their parent party BJP, and they had also won the post in the last election.
