A new sports building is all set in the MLSU campus. There are plans of a modern gym to be constructed in this sports building. The gym will have all the modern ameneties.The sports building has attracted a budget of 1 crore 22 lakh rupees and the upcoming gym will require around 20 lakh rupees. The gym will be equipped with power and weight lifting machines. 
It may be noted that the previous gym was shifted to an area near Vivekanand auditorium. This made it quite difficult for the university students to avail the gym facility, hence a new gym was in demand. Around 50 to 60 students frequent the old gym and trainer faciltiy is also available here.Once a new gym comes up in the new sports building, the students will be able to avail the facilities with ease.
