The atmosphere at MLSU University turned apprehensive after the demonstration of Students led by the Students President. A meeting with President and other student leaders was then called by the Vice Chancellor.

Himanshu Chaudhary, Student President told media that the students have been trying to meet VC from the past few days, and the VC was allegedly avoiding the meeting.  Today, frustrated by the supposed aloofness of the administration, the group demonstrated outside the VC’s office, which resulted in a meeting being called subsequently.

A memorandum listing 11 demands was handed over to the VC, of which the following were agreed upon immediately during the meeting:

• Increasing TA/DA of students participating in Sports
• Providing Jerseys/Uniforms to students representing MLSU in tournaments
• Toll Free number to be used as a Student Helpline
• Allotting rooms to ST/SC students who are not getting accommodation in the ST/SC hostel.
• All pending results of exams to be declared before 7 Nov, 2014

Himanshu Chaudhary also complained that he is yet to be allotted a President office, where he could conduct meetings.  None of the facilities given to the earlier Presidents has yet been provided.
