Morning Walkers saw Leopard at Jhalburj
Movement of a leopard was sighted by few morning walkers at Jhalburj area of Dudhtalai today morning. Initially, there were no official confirmations of the leopard, but later forest officials confirmed the movement, by noticing pug marks and supposed that not only a leopard, but 1-2 cubs were also there.
Dudhtalai Forest official confirm movement of a female leopard with cubs
Movement of a leopard was sighted by few morning walkers at Jhalburj area of Dudhtalai today morning. Initially, there were no official confirmations of the leopard, but later forest officials confirmed the movement, by noticing pug marks and supposed that not only a leopard, but 1-2 cubs were also there.
On the information of a leopard being seen, Forest Ranger Sujan Singh Soni, along with UT reporter reached the spot at Jhalburj and asked cattle guard employed there, but he clearly denied any spotting of Leopard.
Yet, Sujan Singh decided to investigate more and reached Ramnik pol, the area where Machchla Magra Forest Range starts. After walking nearly 3 kilometers inside the jungle, Singh saw fresh pugmarks near a water hole with some small pugmarks too, confirming that there was a female leopard with cubs.
The pugmarks were approaching towards Jhalburj. At the end of the forest range, there were some another pugmarks seen near the road of Jalburj. Singh informed that the animal has crossed the forest range area and its movement has been registered near Dudhtalai.
