Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Ashutosh Soni of Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital gave new life to 1.5 year old girl, Bhavika through Homografting or Screen grafting. She is now out of danger.

Dr. Ashutosh Soni said that Bhavika, daughter of Balvir Charpota, resident of Banswara was admitted to hospital in NICU after being severely burnt. Her body was 40% burnt which included both legs, chest and abdomen part. Besides Dr. Ashutosh, other surgeons involved were Dr. SS Jaitawat, Dr. Bhagwant Goyal, Dr. Naveen Patidar, Dr. AP Gupta and the entire nursing staff who performed the 3 hour long operation.

Dr. Soni informed that the mother of the child gave her skin for operating. Her mother was operated before in which her skin was removed ans stored. Through Homografting or screen grafting, the skin was grafted on the baby’s body. The baby was kept in the hospital for 1.5 months.

The relatives informed that the baby went near the boiled milk vessel which accidentally fell on her and burnt her. Her guardian took her to the nearby hospital. Later she was shifted to Geetanjali Medical Hospital.
