Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Professor O. P. Gill inaugurated the newly constructed office building of, Regional Agricultural Research Station.

Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Professor O. P. Gill inaugurated the newly constructed office building of, Regional Agricultural Research Station.

The office was constructed under the Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi’s sponsored program ‘Modernization of Agricultural Farms’.

“It is necessary to use technology on the path of development that makes scientists to work ideally with less time and resource”, said Professor Gill, while addressing the scientists. He was speaking in a review meeting of Indian Agriculture Project.

Professor Gill said, “Scientists have to develop new technology by passing of time; in this era of technology, scientists should take research challenges to increase productivity of farming.”

While elaborating the architecture of new office building, Research Director Dr. O. P. Maliwal said, “The conference hall will help scientists of university to experiment using latest technology and can also host workshops or meetings.”

Dr. N. L. Joshi, Chief Scientist and Former President of Natural Resource Management Department at Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Jodhpur was also present in the meeting and shared his views with other scientists.

Dr. Joshi said that, when new technologies are introduced by the scientists, it should also reach till the farmers, so that they can get benefit from it.
