Mumbaiyya Bazaar goes Cashless

Mumbaiyya market at Fatehsagar lake has taken the cashless payment route with all stall owners registering for the cashless payment mechanism. In a drive undertaken by Udaipur branch of Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI), all stall owners were registered and QR code were issued and printed to all.

Praveen Suthar, President, FORTI Udaipur chapter, informed that a set of stall owners had already registered with e-wallets and the balance were registered today. With tourist season setting in, he informed that some of the stall owners have also started receiving e-payments from the visitors. FORTI has undertaken this drive to support small enterprises that are facing difficulty post the demonetisation of high value currency.

FORT Chairman (PR) Achal Agarwal said that FORTI members went from shop to shop with their laptops and registered the vendors on the spot.  The e-wallets were also linked to the stall owners bank accounts.

FORTI team now plans to carry out a similar drive next week with stall owners at Sukhadia Circle and Town Hall.
