Udaipur city witnessed a shocking incident last night.  A blast took place at Fatehpura, at a restaurant named ‘Deep Bhojanalaya’ opposite Celebration Bakery. This horrifying incident happened at about 2.50 am, night.  The effect of the blast was so huge that the shutter gate of shop went flying to around 10 meters away and landed near Celebration Bakery. The shop is completely shattered and all the furniture and other things in shop are in complete mess. The magnitude of the blast was such that the nearby shops have also experienced some damage and destruction. The shutter gates of these shops are also broken and swelled due to the blast. People in and around the place are still confused and in shock about the whole incident. The reasons for the blast are still unknown. There is no official declaration by the administration about of the cause of the blast or any kind of injury taking place due to the accident. The police are investigating the matter. UPDATE (Nov 11th 2010): From news sources, it is cleared now that the blast was occurred due to gas pipe leakage in the restaurant.
