Nagars seized JRNRVU Chancellor’s office, unlocked it amid Pressure
Disappointed with the decision of relieving Divya Prabha Nagar from the post of Vice Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University and locking out the Chancellor’s office for many hours, Prafful Nagar, Chief (Kul Pramukh)of the University has returned the office keys to the agitating members of the students union supporting the present Chancellor Prof. Bhavani Shankar Garg.

Disappointed with the decision of relieving Divya Prabha Nagar from the post of Vice Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University and locking out the Chancellor’s office for many hours, Prafful Nagar, Chief (Kul Pramukh)of the University has returned the office keys to the agitating members of the students union supporting the present Chancellor Prof. Bhavani Shankar Garg.
Hundreds of students and JRNRV officials marched through to the Collector’s office and presented a Memorandum demanding stern action against Prafful Nagar and his wife Divya Prabha Nagar for allegedly misconducting the procedures of appointing the new Chancellor and alleged obstinate behavior.
According to the local media, the Nagars alleged that Prof. Garg submitted his resignation from the post of Chancellor in the year 2010. However Prof. Garg denied the allegation. “I have not given any resignation and I will remain on the post of Chancellor till January 2013”, he told the media today.

The chaos was noticed soon after Divya Prabha Nagar who was serving as Vice Chancellor was moved to the Advisory committee after she had completed her term and Professor Sarangdevot had been appointed as the new Interim Vice Chancellor on 2nd June, 2012.
Prafful Nagar, husband of Divya Prabha Nagar rejected the decision and appointed Dr. Jitendra Taylia as the new Chancellor of Vidyapeeth and also announced that the Managing Committee had accepted the resignation of Prof. Bhavani Shankar Garg.
Dr. Pankaj Choudhary, former Student Union leader said that if Prof. Garg had resigned from his post in 2010 then how was he still serving on the post of Chancellor. According to the Memorandum, the student union also alleges Nagar’s involvement in various scams and demanded strict action to stop any illegal activities so the institution can run properly to meet its objective.

While talking to the local media, Prof. Garg has clearly mentioned his position in the University and said that the Jaradan Rai Nagar University is formed out of thehundreds of supporters and it is not a family or individual property.
“Pandit Nagar has founded this University to extend his principals and widen the education to working-class people and that will continue”, said Prof. Bhavani Shankar Garg.
“The journey of development will continue with the help of all supporters of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth”, said Prof. Garg while expressing gratitude to all his supporters.
