It was another rainy day in Udaipur where it rained for nearly two hours in major areas of the city. The temperatures dropped, rain bringing respite, but the relief was temporary as humidity still continues to squeeze out the sweat.

It was another rainy day in Udaipur where it rained for nearly two hours in major areas of the city. The temperatures dropped, rain bringing respite, but the relief was temporary as humidity still continues to squeeze out the sweat.

“It rained 30 millimeters on 11th and 12th June, 2012”, informed Pushkar Paliwal, Reader at the Water Irrigation Department.

The Nandeshwar canal also flowed at 1 foot level in the afternoon at around 3.30.

The pre-monsoon showers cam down as if we were already in the monsoon season whereas monsoon is expected to hit Rajasthan in either the last week of June or early July.

Given the present temperature during the daytime, Udaipur may witness such drizzles time and again before the Monsoon sets in. Guess, that’s why they say, Pre-Monsoon rains are awesome!
