Udaipur, April 15, 2025 - District Collector Namit Mehta conducted an inspection yesterday, April 14, of Nehru Garden which is located in the middle of the popular Fateh Sagar and reviewied the ongoing development work. He instructed officials present to take necessary actions to open the garden for the public at the earliest. Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) Commissioner Rahul Jain informed that the work is in the final stages and the garden will soon open to the public.

Collector Mehta, along with UDA officials, inspected the jetty point, park, fountains, floating restaurant and other facilities at the garden. He gave instructions to ensure no waste is dumped into the lake and stressed on quality maintenance and operational systems for a pleasant experience for visitors.

The Collector said that keeping in line with Udaipur’s reputation, basic infrastructure should be developed considering future requirements.

Additionally, he also directed UDA officials to allocate budget for the beautification of various smaller intersections in the city.

Also present during the inspection were UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar and other officers and staff.
