The Indane cylinder is stronger and safer than the ordinary cylinder.
It is made up of three layers and is much lighter than the normal cylinder.
A smart kitchen looks smarter with modular beautification added to it. Another must have for a smart kitchen is a smart cylinder. Indane has rolled out smart cooking gas cylinders for its consumers.
The major feature of this new and smart cylinder is that it lets you know the level of gas left inside. This new smart LPG cylinder is known as Composite Cylinder.
The Composite Cylinder is stronger and safer than the regular LPG cylinder. It is made up of 3 layers: a blow-mould high-density polyethene (HDPE) inner liner covered with a layer of polymer-wrapped fibre glass and fitted to the HDPE jacket outside.
The composite cylinder is much lighter than the regular cylinder. Some of the parts are transparent which allow the user to check the level of gas inside very conveniently. Based on the level of gas, the consumer can book the next cylinder accordingly. Since this composite cylinder is not made up of metal, it is rust-free. It is also scratch free and doesn’t not cause stains or marks on the floor.
The composite cylinder is being marketed only in 5 kg and 10 kg sizes with select distributors in Delhi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and Faridabad. The company is likely to increase its availability across the country soon. The 10 kg cylinder is only for the domestic non-subsidized category while the 5 kg cylinder is available under the domestic non-subsidized category through free trade LPG.
Indane customers can exchange their old gas cylinders with composite cylinders through nearby dealers. A difference of security deposit between the 2 cylinders needs to be paid. If customers don’t want to exchange old cylinders, then they can pay Rs 3350 for a 10 kg cylinder or Rs 2150 for a 5 kg cylinder as a security deposit to Indane.
