MaitriMannthan, a non governmental organisation, based in Udaipur has opened up a toy library called ‘Khushiya’ at railway station kacchi basti for children. The library is established to provide books, education and toys etc.

Besides the library, an employment project has commenced for women and girls which trains them to make handmade products such as candles, lamps and bags etc. Through the products, women can be self employed and generate revenue.

Started by a young and optimistic lady, Monika Vaishnav, ‘MaitriMannthan’ was established in 2013 and since then, it has been working for social causes, focusing primarily on health, education and women empowerment.

During the course of this year, the NGO has organised several health camps in collaboration with Pacific Medical College and Hospital. More than 6500 patients from 14 rural blocks were given access to proper health facilities for serious diseases like cardiac disease, tuberculosis, cancer, STDs, asthma and skin cancer etc.
