RTO department is about to take strict action against pollution after the directives issued by National Green Tribunal (NGT). There will not be any more new registrations for diesel autos and tempos.
After Alwar taking this step to control pollution, 4 more cities are moving ahead in this direction. These cities are Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur.
All actions are being taken to stop the operations of 15 year old diesel vehicles. New registrations will not be done for diesel vehicles including the two seaters and 3 seaters. The old autos will now be required to install LPG kits for the renewal of their registrations.
This arrangement is likely to begin from the month of April. Old commercial diesel vehicles will be stopped as per the directives of NGT. Rising pollution is a matter of huge concern and needs to be taken care of at the earliest to avoid issues of health and to protect the environment. Pollution is poisoning the environment resulting in drastic results which if not controlled will prove to be fatal.
