North Eastern Railway helps a girl in reaching her examination centre on time

-The train she was supposed to board was delayed by 2 1/2 hours due to fog.

-Her brother tweeted about this to Indian Railways and the rest was taken care of.

We do not know how far this is true, but hoping that it is!! The news has gone viral over social media. And really, hats off to North Eastern Railways for helping this young girl in reaching the examination centre much before time.

A girl from Uttar Pradesh had her BTC exam at 12 noon but the train she was supposed to board was delayed by 2 ½ hours due to fog. The girl Nazia hails from Mau and her examination centre was Varanasi. She had a reservation in Chhapra-Varanasi Intercity Special but fog caused the train to be delayed for long.

The girl’s brother tweeted to Indian Railways, when the train did not reach Mau by 8 a.m., that she would miss her examination if the train does not reach Varanasi on time. The North Eastern Railways took note of the tweet and ran the train at full speed and reached Varanasi by 11 a.m.

The brother informed that the Railways called up his sister after the tweet and assured that the train would reach Varanasi on time and that she would be able to make it for the examination centre. The effort of Indian Railways is commendable. Running the train at full speed to make it reach the destination on time so that a person is able to appear for the exam is unbelievable but the news has gone viral. The girl’s brother also thanked the Railways over Twitter after they reached the examination centre.
