Udaipur, October 31, 2024 - November 1 has been declared a public holiday on the occasion of Diwali. This announcement was made by Udaipur District Collector Arvind Poswal, as per the order issued by the General Administration (Group-6) Department.

This has cleared the confusion among State government employees regarding the holiday for Diwali. Employee unions had been demanding that November 1 be declared a holiday. Prior to this, the Legislative Assembly Secretariat had on October 29 announced Diwali holiday for November 1.
