Now, Crematory goes Cashless

Crematory facilities in the city have started going cashless to counter the inconvenience caused to general populace due to lack of cash post demonetisation of high value currency. A step towards this was taken by Sadhu Vaswani Dharmarth Trust outside Ashok Nagar Crematory.

Looking at the inconvenience caused to people on account of lack of running currency, the trust has installed a swipe machine to facilitate cashless payment. Trust provides wood for performance of the last rites.

Pratap Chugh, member of the Trust, informed that there are about 40 crematoriums in Udaipur and people often come to them for wood. He informed that over the last month and a half, they had to give people wood even on credit to support them in absence of cash.
