Several NREGA workers approached district collector Ashutosh Pednekar and demanded positive action on the recently issued termination notice to many NREGA contractors.

Nine people who are working on contractual basis from last 7 years were asked to quit their jobs. The workers alleged that the termination notice came without prior information.

District collector Ashutosh Pednekar rejected the plea and said that the contractors who were removed from job have no labourers under them. Hence no work could be prescribed to the contractors. The protestors gave 7 days ultimatum or will start violent protest.
