NREGA to wipe out Mediator’s Role in Paying Wages
Nodal officers of co-operative banks from several districts of Rajasthan who are appointed to handle the fund transfer of NREGA labourers were given training on Electronic Fund Management System (EFMS) at Zila Parishad.
Nodal officers of co-operative banks from several districts of Rajasthan who are appointed to handle the fund transfer of NREGA labourers were given training on Electronic Fund Management System (EFMS) at Zila Parishad. The EFMS will be useful for NREGA Labourers to get their wages quickly.
By implementing the electronic transfer system, the role of mediator will be completely over as labourers will directly get their wages through EFMS. The training session was headed by Devraj Singh, Financial Advisor, NREGA.
According to Harsh Sawansukha, ACO, “Senior officials of NREGA, Managers of Apex Bank and System Analyst were also present at the training camp.”
Training camp was attended by one nodal officer from District Level Cooperative Bank where NREGA account is opened. Officers from Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Jhalor, Sirohi and Pali took part in the first session of training camp.
