The association of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (MNREGA) demonstrated resistance against Government and announced the continuation of strike which started from 14th feb for indefinite time till their demands don’t get a proper attention.

 

The association of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (MNREGA) demonstrated resistance against Government and announced the continuation of strike which started from 14th feb for indefinite time till their demands don’t get a proper attention. Hundreds of workers carried out a rally from Town Hall which ended in front of the office of the Collectorate in the early afternoon today.

NREGA Workers Demonstrated Against InequalityThe association has handed two page details of their six main demands in the name of Chief Minister of Rajasthan to District Collector.

Their setbacks include the issues of payment, job placement, equality in terms of P.L, C.L, Medical Leave and other official leaves to include in MNREGA and demands to get humanly behavior from their senior officers were listed in the letter.

If the demands are approved, the organization has promised to return back to work.

The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005, intended to improve the livelihood of the people in rural areas. This act guarantees hundred days of employment in a financial year to a rural household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.
