Offerings made at Shriji Temple rise to Rs. 35 Cr in 3 years
The audit report of all the major temples of the state has revealed Nathdwara’s Shrinathji Temple to be on the top in terms of income. Yearly, Rs. 50-70 Cr of offerings are made in this temple and in three years the income has increased by Rs. 35.52 Cr.

According to the balance sheet provided by the temple heads, the offerings made by the devotees have all been utilized for the temple. Sanwaliya Seth Temple spends Rs. 22 Lac every month which is highest than any other money spent by temple in the state.
On the other hand, Rishabhdeo Temple’s income in year 2013-14 was Rs. 1.19 Cr whereas, it spent rs. 1.68 Cr in all the rituals and indulgences.
Temples including Shri Radha- Govind Devji (Jaipur), Motidungri Ganesh Temple and Hanuman Temple (Khole) have generated more income as compared to last year. The higher the offerings made in the temple, the more the temple heads have utilized the amount for temple indulgences, making the balance nil in balance sheet of 7 more temples in the state.
According to Section-38, only those temples are required to submit their audit reports which are under the shrine department. Temples running under a Trust are audited by the trust. All the trusts come under Rajasthan Public Trust Act.
