Old pensioner dies while waiting in bank’s queue
Old pensioner dies in bank queue.
An old man died while he was waiting in queue to collect his pension from the bank. Reportedly he was in queue for more than an hour. The old pensioner Bhikharam fainted and fell to death as he was in the queue since 7 a.m. When the officials from Punjab National bank were informed, they were taken aback and informed police in a jiffy. The residents of Kotda region which falls under Gogunda of Udaipur complained that the bank’s functioning is improper. Consumers suffer a lot since no one pays attention to the issues.
Bhikharam had been making rounds of the bank to get his pension for the last 3 days. His residence is almost 4 and a half kilometres away from the bank and he used to walk daily to this distance just to get his pension. It has been reported that there is no other bank in this area and people need to wait for days altogether in queues to get their work done. The bank manager has refused to give any statement saying he does not have the authority to say anything to the media on this issue.
