As per reports recieved from the State Health Department, 3 more cases of Omicron variant among COVID infected persons in Rajasthan have been reported today.

Samples of two persons from Jaipur who tested positive for COVID 19 have been found to be carrying the Omicron variant, while one sample with the same assessment has been reported to be from Udaipur. The details to this effect were recieved from NIV in Pune.

The total cases of Omicron in Rajasthan till date are 46, of which 37 are cured and back home. Of the 4 cases in Udaipur, two are reported to be in hospital, while a couple who had flown in from Nigeria on 11 December have tested double negative.

Rajasthan received its biggest count of Omicron positives in the report that came from NIV Pune on 25 December, where 21 samples were found to be carrying the Omicron variant.
