Second edition of Udaipur Runs: Run For A Cause, the annual run organised by Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, with its theme of ‘Let’s Beat Cancer’ was held at Rajiv Gandhi Udyan, Fateh Sagar Lake on Sunday, 13th January 2019.

The motive of this year’s run was to spread awareness about cancer. The event was sponsored by Secure Meters and was held in association with many partners like powered by partner Radio City 91.9 FM, digital media partner My Udaipur City, Promotion partner Udaipur Times, ICICI Bank, Hospitality partner Ramada Udaipur Hotels & Spa, DCB Bank, Messaging partner SMSGIG, Health partner Fortis JK Hospital and printing partner Choudhary Offset Pvt Ltd.

Udaipur Run was organized in three categories 8.2 km, 6 km and 3.5 km. The run saw enthusiastic participation of more than 1156 people and a footfall of over 1500. All the runners were provided bib and a tracker chip to help them track the timing of their run. There were also desks set up to collect the donation, which will be used to help the needy Cancer patients.

The Marathon event started with a quick warm up session by the members of LakeSiders, the sports committee of IIM Udaipur and culminated with the prize distribution ceremony. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr Roshan Menaria of DCB Bank where prizes worth 45,000/- were awarded to the winners.

This run has set the stage for Utkrisht, the inaugural edition of the Sports Festival of IIM Udaipur, which will be held on 18 – 20 January 2019.
